I will start the review by saying that I love my ring however, the service was absolutely appalling. If you are getting a cookie cutter ring which can just be resized then maybe consider going through Solid Gold. If you aren't, I would stay away. Let me explain.... I explained what I wanted to the sales person (yellow gold band, platinum claws, solitaire... easy... right?), yet when I got the ring fitted a few days later, I was told the claws would look different to how I explained it (should have got the deposit back then and there), then I went in 2 weeks later as I was concerned about what the claws would look like, and I was told the claws would look different again by another staff member (who confirmed with someone who used to work in manufacturing). Absolutely confused/concerned at what I was spending $$ on, an email to the website got a quick response from the manager, with pictures confirming the ring is exactly what I asked for... why didn't the 2 other sales reps do the same and go and have a look or ask the jeweler making the ring? I spent 2 weeks worrying about what I was actually going to get when it was exactly what I wanted, just received incorrect information from the sales team. When going in for sizing, you try rings on for size with about 50 others in every other size like a big keyring. Why not have individual rings so that you can actually get an idea of what the ring will sit like instead of it being weighed down by every other size. Incredibly hard to chose a size based on a ring attached to 50 others. During this time the sales rep also told me that most people have to get their engagement ring resized because they chose a size too small. Confusing.. isn't that your job to assist and advise to go a size up potentially due to the wedding band that will soon be accompanying your new engagement ring!!!!! And on that note, you would think it would be ingrained in the sales team to up sell with the wedding band. Apparently not as no one mentioned a wedding band to us until my partner said the ring was a bit plain and maybe I should go with something that had diamonds up the side. This was when I said "the wedding band will do that" and then asked to see wedding bands to show him what it would look like with a wedding band. Why was this never offered in the first place? Shouldn't that be one of the biggest things about choosing the engagement ring is ensuring a wedding band will suit? Wouldn't this be the perfect time to get in another sale down the track? Discussion about diamond quality, cut, colour etc was also pretty short and sweet with little detail. Then to top it all off my partner called to see if it was ready, he was told yes, then went in and no one knew anything about it. We wont be going back there for wedding bands that's for sure. Just be careful.
Got our engagement ring through them and were so happy that we got the wedding bands to. Would recommend them to anyone. Friendly and helpful staff.
